So I’ve just uploaded the last of the videos to my blog, along with my portfolio summary. I must say, it is a relief to have this finished. This final project was indeed a monster that took on a life of its own, but I’m happy with the way it turned out, and I think the rest of the group is as well. Obviously my work may not be as polished as you are used to viewing, but I think it is endearing and scholarly in its own way. I enjoyed this class a great deal, and I hope it was as much fun to teach it as it was to learn. Have a great holiday everyone!

I think that like most groups, our biggest obstacle right now is uploading and sorting through all our video. I’m happy with how our story board turned out, as we have a pretty clear idea of what our project should be. Now, we just have the tedious work ahead. On Monday our group met to film our interview vignettes (I was unable to attend), and hopefully they turned out well. Other than this, I feel the project will only get harder from here on out, but I think we are up for the challenge.

Seeing as how our final project is a narrative, I think our research options are endless. We can combine background information from each session with (possible) interviews from the speakers. Also, we can talk to other students and audience members to get their opinions. We can also use the personal experiences of the central narrator, who is yet to be chosen. So while this may seem broad, we have many ways to gather information.
